Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.

As a personal trainer and yoga therapist, I work with individuals and groups everyday to help them overcome obstacles and set life goals. Some of those goals are epic (summit Mt. Jefferson, run the Boston Marathon!) and some just make for better living (wrestle with the kids on the floor without back pain, waitress without limping, climb a utility pole with confidence). Always, we focus on moving the body safely, progressing wisely, and having a good time while we’re at it.
If anyone had told me, when I was a kid, that kinesiology and outdoor adventures would become my passion, I would have barely looked up from my library book before bursting into laughter, and adjusting my horn rims. See, I was always the last one picked for the team, and the girl whose science project faired much better than her broad jump.
Having always lived in cities – Seattle, New York, Albuquerque – I gave up my high heels and corporate marketing job ten years ago and now run a training studio on the Oregon Coast where the Siuslaw forest meets the sea. Married to a Ranger, an ardent fisherman and forager, we love to take our husky hiking in the woods when we’re not cycling the country roads or kayaking the backwaters.
